This is one we did on the 4th of July to get the hair up and out of her face. I think it turned out nicely, so we thought we’d share!
It’s a great hairstyle for school, for summer playing, for gymnastics, for dance, sports, etc. This is a basic hairstyle, combining basic french rope twists and an uneven 3 strand braid, to mix it up and make it look cute and fun! We love variety, right!?
Hairstyle Instructions below!
For this hairstyle you will need:
2 hair elastics (thick one for the ponytail)
a couple bobby pins
Difficulty: Easy to Medium
~1. Part hair in center part, and then down to ears. Pull the hair in the back off to side.
~2. Begin a french rope twist in front section of air, making it a lace braid, and angling towards the back.
~3. Repeat on both sides, having her hold the twists for (Twist hair past part and as far down to reach a ponytail in the back).
~4. Gather hair in the back into a ponytail, but before putting in elastic, add in both twists, and secure with elastic.
~5. You can wrap the ponytail if you desire.
~6. Do an uneven braid in the ponytail, by making 2 small sections and one large, doing a regular 3 strand braid.
